Vijayawada: TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh here at Kesarapalli IT Park on Wednesday in front of a mammoth crowd.
in the presence of a galaxy of VVIPs including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, megastar Chiranjeevi and superstar Rajinikanth, the 25-member Cabinet was administered oath of office and secrecy by Governor Justice (retd) Abdul Nazeer. Jana Sena Party president K Pawan Kalyan was the second person among those sworn in.
Later all the Ministers took blessings from the Prime Minister, the Governor and the Chief Minister. Naidu and Modi were seen sharing several lighter moments at the function, which drew the attention of many. After the swearing in when Naidu sought blessings of Modi, the Prime Minister gave him a tight hug. Modi also greeted personally all the VVIPs including megastar Chiranjeevi and superstar Rajinikant.
Several political leaders including Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Sinde, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Paneerselvan, Union Ministers Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, JP Nadda, Athawale, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, K Rammohan Naidu and others were present. A large number of family members from TDP founder late NT Rama Rao (NTR) and JSP founder Pawan Kalyan were present. JSP was given two berths and BJP one. The NDA stormed to power with a record number of 164 seats in the Assembly. YSRCP could win 11 seats.
The Cabinet has eight from BCs, two from SCs and one each from ST and minorities taking into caste equilibrium. Three women legislators were inducted into the ministry.
Besides the Chief Minister, the ministers include Nara Lokesh, Pawan Kalyan, Kinjerapu Atchen Naidu, Kollu Ravindra, Nadendla Manohar, P Narayana, Vangalapudi Anitha, Satya Kumar Yadav, Nimmala Rama Naidu, NMd Farooq, Anam Ramanarayan Reddy, Payyavula Kesav, Anagani Satya Prasad, Kolusu Parthasarathy, Dola Balaveeranjaneya Swamy, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, Kandula Durgesh, Gummadi Sandhyarani, BC Janardhan Reddy, TG Bharath, S Savitha, Vasamsetti Subhash, Kondapalli Srinivas and Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy.
